Hockey greats Mike Bossy, Dave Keon, Guy Lafleur and Bernie Parent to share the stage with Metric, The Sheepdogs, Bobby Bazini and Kevin Bazinet

Ottawa – The Ottawa 2017 Bureau, the National Hockey League, Live Nation Canada and the Ottawa Senators are pleased to announce some of the NHL legends that will take part in the Stanley Cup® 125th Anniversary Tribute Concert:

The four players (Bossy, Keon, Lafleur and Parent) won a combined 15 Stanley Cup® Championships, and each are an Honoured Member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Last month, Bossy, Keon, Lafleur and Parent were named to the 100 Greatest NHL® Players list, as part of the NHL’s Centennial festivities honoring a century’s worth of extraordinary players, teams, remarkable plays and unforgettable moments.

This Ottawa 2017 Signature Event will feature musical performances by Metric, The Sheepdogs and bilingual artists Bobby Bazini and Kevin Bazinet, who will showcase their talent in both French and English. Liam Maguire, NHL historian, author and radio personality, will host the event along with renowned hockey sports anchor Chantal Machabée.

The show will include tales of Stanley Cup® glory from the 100 Greatest NHL Players in history, in addition to rare archival footage of some of hockey’s most historic moments. The Stanley Cup® itself will be the guest of honour at this memorable experience for all ages.

Canada’s capital is the only place in North America this historical celebration will take place. It will be the event to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Stanley Cup® this year in Ottawa, where the tradition started.

The original concept show will take place at Canadian Tire Centre on Friday, March 17, as part of the celebrations in the nation’s capital surrounding the anniversary of hockey’s most treasured trophy: the Stanley Cup®.
