Mayor Jim Watson and Rideau Rockcliffe Ward Councillor Peter Clark today presented the Mayor’s City Builder Award to Joseph Cull for his work as a volunteer group fitness instructor for the Older Adult Program with the YMCA/YWCA and for his volunteer work and fundraising efforts for the Maycourt Hospice and a number of other charities in Ottawa.

Joseph is well-known for his wonderful, self-deprecating humour and for his ability to engage and inspire people as an entertaining and dedicated fitness instructor. He has been a volunteer instructor with the YMCA/YWCA since 2003 and is a fitness instructor at Abbottsford House in the Glebe and the Jack Purcell Community Centre. Joseph is a long-time volunteer and fundraiser for Maycourt Hospice and also a volunteer at the Crighton Cultural Community Centre. He supports and promotes a number of charities in Ottawa and is known for his exceptional ability to inspire others to get involved, volunteer and donate to various causes.
